Mixed Junior & Girls Cricket
We have a thriving mixed junior and girls section that aims to provide an inclusive, safe, welcoming cricket environment where all children learn to be part of a team and can make new friends.
Mixed Junior and Girls Cricket at Tonbridge CC
Thank you for your interest in mixed junior (boys and girls) and girls cricket at Tonbridge CC.
Our volunteer coaches and volunteers provide 8 months of cricket a year for 150+ local children from School Year 1 to School Year 13.
Every Saturday morning In the late spring and summer, our mixed U7s and mixed U9s, play soft ball cricket games and learn skills, at our beautiful ground in Tonbridge. Our mixed U11s and U13s train alongside our younger age groups and use the excellent facilities at Hilden Grange School to practice their hard ball skills. Our U15s and Academy also train at Hilden Grange School on Wednesday evenings. Competitive hard ball league cricket is available to every child in our mixed U11s, mixed U13s and mixed U15s and every child will get the opportunity to play.
Our girls, as well as having full access to the mixed section, are also part of our fantastic girls section. The girls U11 practice soft ball skills on Friday nights in the summer, while our girls U13s and our older girls work on their hard ball skills. Competitive and friendly matches are available for all our girls.
In the winter, a 10-week programme of indoor cricket skills and training is offered at every age group in the mixed junior section and the girls section.
We do not provide cricket in the autumn as we want our children to play different sports and try different activities to better support their long-term development in cricket and in life.

Junior & Girls Core Values
Teamwork
We care about other people’s needs in the team and always operate as part of a team.
We support team members at every opportunity and welcome new team members with open arms.
Spirit
We play in the spirit of the game, being generous in victory and dignified in defeat.
We play to win but not at all costs and encourage others to always adhere to the rules.
Respect
We listen and respect the coaches and umpires who volunteer their time to develop the club and its junior members.
We earn the respect of others by treating them as we’d like to be treated.
We value the clubhouse and the equipment we get to use.
Enjoyment
We understand there is more to cricket than scoring runs, taking wickets and winning games.
We always play the game of cricket for enjoyment and fun.
